P&H Horse & Cattle Company is located in Almena, WI. Who we are and what we do is pretty straight forward.  It’s all about horsemanship.  To get a feel for our training philosophy, it’s almost easier to talk about what we’re not -- and that is a cure all or magic system for training you and your horse.   If you’re looking for a quick fix and tricks to “get” your horse then please keep looking as we’re not right for you. 

The fundamentals of horsemanship are really pretty simple.  A horse is going to respond positively or negatively depending on what you tell it to do.  Both horse and rider need to be taught to understand how to invoke and respond to cues and pressure whether with legs, seat or hands.  The fundamental principle of our program is that once a horse and rider understand how to appropriately react to or give a prompt, the desired result and response will be achieved – no matter what the discipline.
